Union of Arab Chambers to meet in Beirut

The Union of Arab Chambers (UAC) announced that it will organize the ‘Arab Investment Conference for Banking, Industry, Tourism and Real Estate 2011’ on September 15 and 16 at the Adnan Kassar Edifice for Arab Economy in Beirut. The UAC said that it will hold an exhibition on the sidelines of the conference.
Registration to the conference is free of charge. Participation in the exhibition is restricted to the sponsors of the conference.
The conference so far has six sponsors: Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC), the government of Uruguay, Fransabank, BLOM Bank, Bank of Beirut, Baraka bank, and the First National Bank.
The two-day conference will address current developments in the Arab region and its repercussions on the economies, companies, and banks in the region. It will also discuss the sought reforms aimed at enhancing the business environment in Arab states, with an emphasis on the prospected investment projects in banking, tourism, and real estate sectors.
The conference will be attended by the chambers of commerce, industry, and agriculture in Arab states, and the joint Arab-foreign chambers. It will also be attended by industry and trade firms, construction and real estate companies, banks and financial institutions, investment companies, as well as Arab and foreign businessmen and investors.
