Parliament ratifies tourism pact

Lebanon pairs up with TURESPAÑA for tourism enhancement measures

The parliament ratified a Memorandum of Understanding for tourism signed with the Spanish Institute of Tourism (TURESPAÑA) in October 2010.

The MoU aims at boosting cooperation between the two countries for enhancing tourism.

The two sides agreed to promote the exchange of information and expertise in the fields related to tourism management through boosting training and skill building. They also highlighted the need to employ media and communication technologies in promoting tourism.

The agreement initially serves for one year, starting its signing date (October 2010). It is automatically prolonged each year successively for a maximum of five years.
