Sabounjian urges forming private companies to boost exports through SMEs
Share
Minister of Industry Vrej Sabounjian called for the establishment of private companies for exports in order to assist Small- and Medium- sized Enterprises (SMEs) in promoting its products. He said that the function of such companies will complement the efforts of the diplomatic commissions abroad.
During a dialogue session with the Lebanese-German business council, Sabounjian disclosed plans to offer incentives to exporters through exempting industrial exports from income tax.
"There are many opportunities which we can seize at this level," he said.
Sabounjian encouraged businessmen and industrialists to focus on fostering exports to the German market, which he considered “quite promising”.
He said that the current government is committed to providing the best environment for bolstering foreign investment through giving all businessmen the same opportunity to invest their money in the country.
