The number of people who have obtained two jabs of a vaccine against Covid-19 has surpassed one million individuals. This is estimated to be equivalent to around 21 percent of those aged 18 years old and above, and 45 percent of all people that have registered to receive the vaccine.
The number of individuals who have received at least one jab is 1.26 million or more than a quarter of the adult population, and 56 percent of those registered.
Almost 8,000 people have died as a result of the coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic.
More than 11,200 people have reported as being infected by the disease in the first nine days of August. The number of reported deaths during that period was 42.
