The European Union (EU) has allocated €229 million ($243 million) to support reforms and economic development projects. This package will be deployed starting from December 2022 and will continue through 2023.
The EU will cooperate with UN agencies and local and international NGOs for implementation. This will involve a call for interested applicants to submit proposals for evaluation.
The EU has identified four major priorities for this financial package: Public administration reforms, women empowerment, supporting the transition to renewable energy, and assisting vulnerable local communities and Syrian refugees.
