Hilton comes to Beirut
Habtoor Group signs partnership agreement with Hilton Worldwide for two Beirut hotels

Hilton Worldwide and Al Habtoor Group announced that they have signed a new partnership to convert two hotels in Beirut to the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand.
According to the agreement, Habtoor Grand (195 rooms) and Metropolitan Palace (183 rooms) will become Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand and Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace.
The two hotels are expected to open in early 2012.
Khalaf Al Habtoor, the chairman of Al Habtoor Group said “Hilton Worldwide was our partner of choice to help re-establish the two Beirut hotels.” Al Habtoor Group owns and operates hotels throughout the Middle East through its subsidiary Habtoor Hotels.
Habtoor and Hilton also signed an agreement to develop the Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah resort in the UAE.
Hilton Worldwide currently operates 53 properties across 17 countries in the Middle East and Africa.
