Justice for an abused domestic worker
An employer was convicted for abusing a Fillipino worker, and has to pay $7200 in compensation

The employer, Fayrouz Farez, was sentenced to a 15-day imprisonment period.
Farez was also ordered to pay $34 in court fines and $7,200 in compensation to the to Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), Johnalyn Malibago. .
Philippine Ambassador, Gilberto Asuque said that the government of Philippines is still awaiting approval for a law on the protection of foreign workers.
The Embassy said that at least 236 Filipino workers were repatriated from January to October 2009.
