YASA, LASSA, AutoXpert partner to support safety in school transportation

Local NGO YASA and its affiliate, the Lebanese Association for School Safety Awareness (LASSA) announced singing a cooperation agreement with local car dealer, AutoXpert.

The agreement aims to promote road safety and improve standards of school transportation facilities through a nationwide campaign.

AutoXpert is the exclusive local distributor of the Brilliance Auto and Jinbei (Chinese) brands for passenger cars and minibuses.

According to LASSA’s president Joe Daccache, the partnership aims at raising awareness regarding the importance of road safety in school transportation. Its objective is to promote safety culture among school administrations, bus drivers, and parents.

Daccache said that AutoXpert, which imports minibuses compatible with the safety standards, would provide its technical experience in the field of safety transportation standards.

Throughout the partnership, AutoXpert has sponsored a manual about school transportation safety prepared by the two affiliated NGOs.

Daccache noted that the campaign is working to promote the implementation of Law 551/96 which addresses safety requirements in school transportation facilities.
