Solidere-Orange upgrade cooperation

Solidere renews five-year telecoms contract with Orange Business

Solidere and Orange Business Services, member of France Telecom global telecommunications group, have renewed a five-year telecommunications infrastructure contract. Through the contract Orange operates the broadband network on behalf of Solidere. The enhanced contract aims to upgrade the broadband network offered to the Beirut Central District.

The network allows Solidere to deliver an IPTV channel service, a system through which television services are delivered using the Internet rather than through traditional cable television formats.

The IPTV service was launched in 2008. It was integrated into a Solidere-operated private broadband network designed and installed by Orange in 2006.
The renewed contract includes a new Orange call center management solution for Solidere. The call center aims to bring better customer service to BCD residents.
