An agreement signed between the European Union and the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) ratified on March 23 will see the EU undertake financing the project for ‘Developing National Capability for Security and Stabilization’. The total cost of the project is estimated at €12 million ($15.7 million).

The project aims to support the authorities in securing national borders, improving the capability of state institutions and security forces, and promoting better understanding of security system reform among the relevant stakeholders. The project will run for over six years.
