International hotel chain to operate renovated beach resort

International budget hotel chain, Golden Tulip, announced that it will take on the management of a renovated beach resort in Jiyeh.

Golden Tulip, which owns and manages a network of 4-star hotels across the world, will operate a new hotel at the Jiyeh Marina & Resort. Golden Tulip already operates three properties in Beirut.

The Jiyeh hotel, which will be up and running by February 2013, will have 150 rooms and suites, two swimming pools, a conference room, several restaurants, and wedding venues. The hotel will also boast a yacht marina.

‘Jiyeh Marina & Resort’ is owned by Lebanese businessman Mohammad Saleh.
The resort already comprises 120 seaside chalets, 60 of them have been sold, the other 60 are let out. The Golden Tulip management will extend services to the chalets as well. The project is expected to generate around 150 new jobs.
