Airport arrivals till May up by 15 percent y-o-y

The Rafic Hariri International Airport reported a growth in activity during the first five months of the year. The number of aircrafts using the airport totaled 25,000 airplanes. Incoming aircrafts counted 12,500, up by three percent year-on-year.

The number of passengers, excluding transit, rose by almost 16 percent, to 2.1 million, with arriving passengers rising by 14.6 percent to 1 million. Transiting passengers reached 25,300.
Unloaded goods at the airport totaled 18.2 million tons, up by nine percent y-o-y. Loaded merchandise grew by 7.7 percent, to 12.3 million tons.
