Trade deficit up until April widens by 27 percent y-o-y

Figures released by the Ministry of Finance indicate a trade deficit of $6 billion for January-April 2012, 27 percent higher than the deficit registered in the same period of 2011.

This deficit, the highest in five years, was driven by a significant rise in imports, which increased by $1.4 billion.
