In a statement, the company said that the breakdown in network “occurred due to regular maintenance work it was performing to expand its network coverage and strengthen its capacity.”

“The breakdown in network affected mobile users in Ain Saade, Jisr El Basha, Sawfar, Baabda, Aley, Shiah area, Southern suburb of Beirut, Ain El Remmeneh, Hadath, and Khaldeh,” the company said.

Minister of Telecommunications, Charbel Nahas, followed up with the maintenance work carried out by Alfa and technicians from Nokia Siemens.
