Exports of prepared foodstuffs grow

Industrial exports in the first four months were almost unchanged from last year, standing at $1billion, according to statistics published by the Ministry of Industry. Exports of prepared foodstuffs rose by nine percent to $128 million at end-April.

On the other hand, imports of machinery used by local industries dropped by 18 percent year-to-date to $89 million.
