Internet speed lags behind global average

Lebanon ranked in 154th place, out of 178 countries, on the download speed index. The index, published by Speedtest.net, compares and ranks consumer Internet speeds around the globe. Lebanon’s download speed was 2.07 Mbps. The global average download speed was 11.85 Mbps.

Results for Lebanon were obtained by analyzing data obtained from 149,000 unique IPs between August 26 and September 24.

On the upload speed index, the country ranked in 171st place, with an upload speed of 0.43 Mbps. The global average upload speed was 4.45 Mbps.
