Shakespeare and Co. comes to Dbayeh

More outlets planned in 2013

UAE-based café-restaurant Shakespeare and Co. has opened its first outlet at ‘Junction Five Center’, a multi-diner venue located across Le Mall Dbayeh.

Shakespeare and Co. was founded in Dubai in 2001 by Lebanese entrepreneur Edward Saad, who owns a dozen other restaurants in the UAE. The brand’s local franchise partner is SUGL Sal.

“Over $400,000 were invested in the venue,” said Oussama Awada, operations manager at the Dbayeh branch. The location stretches over 510 square meters and has the capacity to host up to 180 guests.

More local branches are planned for next year. “We are still studying potential locations as we have strict area specifications,” Awada said. The restaurant has a characteristic decoration and utilizes stylistic elements popular during the Victorian era.
