Montreal Bread Company (MBCo), a Canadian restaurant-bakery and catering outlet, will be opening in Blueberry Square - Dbayeh early in February.

MBCo follows a similar concept to that of Paul and Casper & Gambini's. Local F&B firm D’s Holding bought the restaurant’s franchise from its UAE-based regional franchisers, Hospitality Concepts & Solutions (HC & S). HC & S, founded by Lebanese businessmen Ziad Kaddoura and Mohamad Charafeddine, is licensed to sell MBCo franchises in GCC countries, as well as in Jordan and Lebanon.

Najla Tarabay, operations manager at D’s Holding, said that up to $700,000 were invested in MBCo - Dbayeh. The outlet comprises a 127-square-meter indoor area, with an indoor seating capacity of 60 people, and an outdoor terrace with an additional capacity of 55 seats.

Other openings in different locations across Beirut are being considered. “We are currently exploring our options in order to further expand MBCo’s network,” said Tarabay.

D’s Holding is owned by Dory Labaki, a local businessman who already has two Crepaway franchises in Batroun and Byblos. The company is looking to expand its business beyond the franchising industry. “We will be establishing new restaurants with innovative concepts that will be revealed soon,” said Tarabay.
