Solidere in land swap with Foreign Affairs

Ministry gets new building in Central District

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) signed a land swap deal with Solidere involving a lot where a new MoFA building will be constructed.

The new building will be located at the eastern entrance of Downtown Beirut, across the George Haddad Street. Through the land swap, Solidere gave the MoFA a land of area 5,300 square meters (with a built-up area of 13,000 square meters) in return for a land of equivalent value.

The project will cost $8 million. Construction works will begin in the coming few weeks.
