Mediaquest acquires AMEinfo

Websites re-launched in September

Mediaquest, a Lebanese-owned media company active in the MENA region, has acquired AMEinfo, a regional business wire, and SMEinfo, a website dedicated to SMEs.

Mediaquest was founded by businessman Yasser Hawari. It publishes several titles including Gulf Marketing Review, Communicate, Saneou Al Hadath, TRENDS, Policy, and Marie Claire Arabia. It has operations in Algeria, Beirut, Dubai, Jeddah, Riyadh, Kuwait, Egypt, and Paris.

AMEinfo was founded in the United Arab Emirates in 1993 and was previously owned by media group Top Right Group. Commercial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

AMEinfo and SMEinfo will be re-designed and will go live again in September.
