Aley Center, a commercial project at the entrance of the town of Aley, will open its doors in spring 2014, according to the project owners Al Kharafi Group (Kuwait). Bobyan Real Estate is developing the project that will include a mix of retail, restaurants, and entertainment venues.

The land area of the mall is 26,000 square meters, with a Gross Leasable Area of 13,200 square meters. The development consists of two blocks connected by a conveyor system. It comprises eight floors: One ground floor with a partially covered plaza, three upper floors, three underground floors, and a rooftop floor.

“Our tenants mix will include local and international brands, along with a variety of restaurants, and an entertainment center similar to ‘Up & Away’ at Le Mall Dbayeh,” said Raed Bou Chahine, Business Analyst at Mak Consult, a subsidiary of Al Kharafi Group.

Fransabank has already opened a branch in the center with an area of 430 square meters.

Bou Chahine said the mall will host a TSC supermarket, and a renowned café will occupy the rooftop.

“A market study we conducted with Ernst & Young showed that the area lacks mall concepts, which are highly in demand especially that the clientele here has a high purchasing power,” said Bou Chahine. According to him, Aley Center's added value would be its location and the real need for a shopping complex there.
