Khattab Shipping, a local freight and logistics firm, will open two branches in Amman and Dubai with a minimum total investment of $140,000.
Mounir Khattab, General Manager of Khattab Shipping, said: “We have just launched operations in these two locations but we are considering more destinations in the Arab Gulf in 2014.”
With a staff of 20, the company has ranked among the top five air freight firms in the country for five past years, according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
“Dubai will enable us to access whole new markets including Kazakhstan and Pakistan, which both have huge turnovers,” he said.
Established in the early 70s, Khattab Shipping is a family-run business specializing in industrial and pharmaceutical transport. Its services include customs clearance, freight forwarding, distribution and warehousing, logistics, and trucking.
