Possible adjustment of bread prices

The Ministry of Economy and Trade said it is awaiting approval for a financial advance to buy wheat from local farmers in the upcoming few days. The statement was made following a meeting between the Ministries of Economy and Agriculture. The Ministry of Finance has prepared the necessary decree and submitted it to the President and Prime Minister.

The global price of wheat dropped from $290 to $270 per ton. Consequently, the Ministry of Economy and Trade is considering adjusting the prices of bread packs, or increasing their weight. It will discuss this issue with mill and bakery owners.
