The Basil Fuleihan Institute of Finance signed a training agreement with the state-owned tobacco monopoly (Régie). The Ministry of Finance will sponsor trainings by the Institute aiming at improving the administrative and financial capacities of the Régie’s staff.
The agreement comes within the framework of an administrative development program approved by the Ministry earlier. The two sides are required to establish a culture of continuous training and knowledge exchange. They will also collaborate to produce studies and publications.
“The Basil Fuleihan Institute will supply us with the necessary knowhow to improve our administrative and production capacity,” said Nassif Seklawi, General Manager of the Régie.
Lamia Moubayed Bsat, Manager of the Basil Fuleihan Institute of Finance, said a lot of preparatory work went into the agreement. “The Régie is committed to its vision of improving its human capital and modernizing its financial administration.”
