The loan will finance studies that aim at finding ways to increase green areas in Beirut, rehabilitating public areas, improving lighting in the city, establishing gateways for bicycles, and increasing income from unused public spaces.

Beirut Mayor, Abdel Mounim Ariss said that the plan to increase the number of green zones in the capital lies within the priorities of the Municipality.
