The French hotel management chain Golden Tulip celebrated the grand opening of Lili’s Resort in Aley. The hotel had a soft launch in March. It is owned by local businessman Nabih El Maghribi.
The Aley hotel is a four-star, 45-room property, with facilities for children, a spa and, recreational facilities.
The hotel employs 55 staff members during off-season and many more during peak times, to tend to the hotel’s banquet facilities.
Golden Tulip is planning for a hotel in Ashrafieh. It is expected to be completed by mid 2015. The hotel will be located near the Voice of Lebanon radio station. It will be an eco-friendly, four-plus star hotel, with 76 rooms and suites and business facilities.
The chain is considering opening three additional hotels. It currently runs four properties locally: Galleria in Jnah, Serenada in Hamra, Jiyeh Marina in Jiyeh, and Hotel De Ville in Sodeco.
The Golden Tulip group of hotels is part of the Louvre Hotels, which is currently ranking second in Europe. The chain has a large presence in the Middle East and North Africa, with more than 50 hotels. Its regional head office is in Dubai.
