The European Union and the Ministry of Energy and Water launched on July 15 the National Water Conservation Awareness Campaign.
The campaign, which is funded by the EU with a $245,000 grant, targets the public and aims at advocating a responsible and sustainable approach to tackling water conservation.
Radio and TV spots, as well as outdoor billboards focusing on raising awareness about water scarcity have been produced as part of this campaign. A series of educational posters and leaflets that include primers on saving water have been prepared.
Alexis Loeber, Head of the Cooperation Section at the Delegation of the European Union to Lebanon, said: "The European Union will continue to support facing water scarcity. I am convinced that this national awareness campaign will have a tangible impact."
