Agreement reached to control agricultural diseases

The Ministry of Agriculture signed a cooperative agreement with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to limit the spread of fruit flies, which damage fruit and vegetables.

FAO will provide $411,000 to implement this initiative, within two years. Pest control will enhance product quality and contribute to the increase of fruit exports.
