Australian public TV station to open in Beirut

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is planning to open an office in Beirut, said the station’s Managing Director, Mark Scott.

“Details about the timing and location of the office cannot be revealed yet,” said an officer at the Amman office of the station.

ABC has offices in 14 cities outside Australia, including New Zealand, Bangkok, Beijing, Jakarta, London, Nairobi, New Delhi, New York, Port Moresby, Tokyo, Washington, Amman, and Jerusalem.

The Sydney-based Australian public station was established in 1932.
