Highway to be completed linking Nabatieh and Hasbaya

The Council of Ministers has approved the continuation of the second section of a highway linking Nabatieh to Hasbaya.

The second section will include a three-year construction of roads and bridges between the municipality of Kfar Remman and Marjayoun. The road will be five kilometers long and 30 meters wide. The contractor is Danash for Contracting and Trade, which also handled the first part. The estimated cost of this part is $7 million.

The first section, just completed, entailed the construction of three kilometers of road at a cost of $6 million.

The highway, funded by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, has an overall length of 19 kilometers and a value of $50 million.
