The Lebanese participants were among 30 semifinalists from nine Arab countries that have qualified to the round.

In addition to Lebanon, the qualified participants were from Egypt, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Yemen, Morocco and Jordan.The business plans received were in the technology and online services sectors, medical and healthcare, environment, energy, education, and engineering fields.

The 30 teams will have to submit their final business plans by April 14. At the end of the competition, nine winning teams will be chosen to make oral presentations in Cairo next June.
