factory to open in Jbeil

To double production and enhance quality

Chemico Mechanical Engineering, a manufacturer of industrial paint, will open a factory in Zebdine, Jbeil in 2018.

Investment in the project is estimated at $5 million, including the cost of the land. The total space of the land plot is 10,000 square meters and the built-up area is 6,000 m2. The facility will create around 15 full time jobs.

George Hatem, General Manager, said: “We wanted to double our production and produce larger and higher professional production lines.”

Chemico has the capacity to produce three production lines per year currently and the new facility will increase it to more than six. Hatem said that they provide their lines to industrial companies like Ghaddar machinery, a manufacturer of power generators and Staunch Machinery, a producer of construction equipment.

Chemico exports production lines to the UAE and some African countries. Hatem said that the price of the production line ranges between $300,000 and $500,000, depending on its specifications.
