Tony’s Food, a manufacturer of frozen ready-to-eat food products, will open a factory in Mkalles late 2015.
Tony Cherfan, Chairman, said: “Expanding became a must to achieve growth.” He said that the company will launch new varieties of ready-to-eat food and sweets.
Investment in the project is estimated at $7 million, including the cost of the land. The built-up area of the factory is 4,000 square meters. Cherfan said that it will be equipped with high-tech automated machines.
The facility will create around 50 full time jobs. It will triple its production capacity to $9 million per year. Cherfan said that the company aims to export 25 percent of its production to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Turkey and European countries.
