IUL to open campus in Wardanieh in 2016

The Islamic University in Lebanon (IUL) will open a new campus in Wardanieh in the school year 2016-2017.

The new campus will be built on a 170,000 square meter plot of land. It will host 15 buildings as well as playgrounds, conference halls, a library, parking, and residential apartments for students and teachers.

The Wardanieh campus will have capacity to accept around 15,000 students. It will include faculties for engineering, letters and human resources, touristic sciences, Islamic studies, sciences and arts, economics and business administration, law, nursing sciences, and politics.

IUL’s main branch is located in Khaldeh and has two other branches in Tyr and Baalbeck. The university is owned by the Higher Islamic Shiite Council.
