Al Nahda expands facilities in Ghazieh

Al-Nahda Industrial Group and Staunch Machinery, a manufacturer of construction materials and equipment, will expand its factory in Ghazieh in 2018.

Hamza Hijazi, Executive Director, said: “The new extension will be dedicated to manufacturing mobile transit cement mixers. We will be the first company introducing this industry to the local market.”

Production capacity of the factory is 240 mixers per year. The factory will be engineering, designing, metal fabricating, and assembling the mixers locally with Japanese motors ‘Yanmar’. Most of the production will be exported to the Gulf and MENA regions. The price of mobile mixers starts from $65,000.

Investment is estimated at $18 million. It will have a total built-up area of 20,000 square meters. The factory will create around 150 full time jobs.

Al-Nahda recently finalized a factory for manufacturing power generators and forklifts.

The company has three other factories in China, Turkey, and India, as well as 67 offices worldwide, including warehouses, points–of-sale, and maintenance departments. Al-Nahda Industrial Group was established in 1979 by Moustafa Hijazi.
