Sanita, a member of INDEVCO Group and a manufacturer of household, institutional, and personal care products, will open a factory in the industrial zone of Hosrayel, Jbeil in March.

The 12,000 square meter factory will be dedicated for producing tissue paper, including facial, toilet, and towel tissues, aluminum foil, and cling film. The total space of the land plot is 60,000 m2. Chadi Kreidy, General Manager of the ‘Away from Home’ business at Sanita, said: “There is a wider expansion to come in this area. There will be a lot of portfolios for producing new lines of business, such as paper cups, and gloves.”

The factory will increase production capacity by 40 to 50 percent, increasing from 2,500 tons per month, which used to be produced in the Halat factory. Kreidy said that the market growth in this sector is reaching 11 percent per year.

Investment in the project is estimated at $25 million, including the cost of land. Sister company, Phoenix, is the contractor, which built and equipped the required infrastructure. The expansion will create up to 50 jobs, although the facility is fully automated.

Sanita exports around 40 percent of its production to MENA countries.
