A mall, hotel, and cinema complex will be developed in the Sultanate of Oman for Lebanese brands, said Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce Said bin Saleh al Kayyoumi.

An agreement between the two chambers was signed Wednesday for this purpose. “The value of the project has not yet been determined, but it could be funded by Omani businessmen alone or with the participation of local investors,” said Mohamed Choucair, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture in Beirut and Mount Lebanon.

The project will be situated in a prime location in Muscat. “The land is available. It will either be leased for a long term or granted by the Government,” he said.

A meeting will be held between counterparts by the end of the month to discuss the details of the project and choose an architecture firm to carry it out.

Several other investments are being studied with regards to contracting, oil and gas, and franchise.
