The Village Summerland, a mixed-use project of residences and a hotel and resort, is scheduled to open in mid June, according to Patrick Carnaby, managing partner of Carnaby Real Estate, the company exclusively responsible for residential sales.

The Summerland project is divided into The Village and the Kempinski Hotel & Resort. The Village hosts 73 luxury apartments distributed over three areas named Palms, Oasis, and Dunes. Carnaby said: “We sold 35 percent of the units. Around 70 percent of the clients are Lebanese.” Apartments have a price range between $18,000 and $25,000 per square meter.

The Summerland Kempinski Hotel & Resort includes 151 suites. It includes restaurants, lounges, a health club and spa, and a marina with a capacity for 47 boats. Chehab Marine, a local boat sale firm, will run marina operations.

The project’s contractor is Eastern Projects Development (EDP). The project owner is Société Générale d’Entreprises Touristiques.

Located on the seaside of the Chiah area, the project covers a total built-up area of 75,000 m2. The total cost of the project is estimated at more than $200 million.
