Caramel Boutique Hotel to open in Hamra
Investment estimated at $4 million
Share
Caramel Boutique Hotel, owned by Charlie Frem, will open in Hamra later this month.
The three-star boutique hotel has a built-up area of 1,350 square meters (m2), including 25 rooms and a restaurant-bar area, the Propaganda Gin Room.
Frem said that the restaurant is uniquely designed in that there will be a movable wall between the restaurant space and the lobby, in order that the bar will be able to face the reception.
The building previously housed the Moonlight Hotel, which was rented to a third party. But the owners have since recuperated the space in order to host the new hotel.
The hotel will be managed by Central Management, owned by Frem and Antoine Rached. The company presently manages five restaurants: Garcia’s, The Italian Project, Killer Queen, Central Station Boutique Bar, and Terminal B.
Central Management will also open a Lebanese café, Doobara, in Hamra next month, offering a Lebanese menu and argileh in a space of 350 m2. The café will have the capacity to host 140 people.
Investment in both projects is around four million dollars.
