Electronic controllers’ factory is set to expand in Jiyeh

Security and Automation System (S&AS), a manufacturer of electronic controllers for elevators and diesel generators, is aiming to expand its facility in Jiyeh and build a test tower.

Ziad Boustani, General Manager, said that the expansion will triple the production capacity which currently reaches 25,000 electronic controllers.

“We reached full capacity currently, and we need to install new production lines to meet the needs,” he said.

The company also aims to develop the controllers and increase the speed of elevators to more than two meters per second. The test tower when built will be 50 meters’ high height, in order to be able to test the new controllers and conduct live demonstration.

Investment in both projects is one million dollars.

S&AS exports 80 percent of production to the Gulf, Africa, Europe, India, and South America.

The Investment Development Authority in Lebanon (IDA) has approved to provide S&AS with an incentive package.
