Investment in the five-star project is $40 million. There will be 129 sea-view rooms, of which 11 are suites. The hotel rack rate will be $100-$300.
The hotel will comprise five restaurants, including Signatures by Le Cordon Bleu, as well as three conference rooms and a gym. A spar is expected to open at a later stage.
The hotel has created around 100 jobs.
The Le Cordon Bleu chain, chaired by French businessman André Cointreau, is also a network of educational institutions dedicated to providing culinary and hospitality instruction.
Chady Morcos, Sales and Marketing Manager, said: “The project was originally built as a hospitality school used by USEK, but the owners decided to open it as a hotel.”
