elevator factory

To export 650 units per year

Fujilift, a manufacturer of elevators, will open a factory in Mkalles, in early 2018. Investment in the project is $6 million. The company borrowed a subsidized loan to finance the project, according to Rafic Maroun, General Manager.

The built up area of the plant is 4,500 square meters. The machines being installed at the factory are imported from Switzerland, Holland, and Japan.

The factory will produce 1,000 elevators per year. Of which 65 percent will be exported to Arab, African, and East European countries.

The factory will create around 30 full time jobs.
