Digital recruitment platforms have become the most popular way to find employees, according to a special report in the October issue of Lebanon Opportunities magazine.
Dedicated online platforms such as InfoPro’s jobs.com.lb, as well as Bayt.com, hirelebanese.com, huntinglebanese.com, monstergulf.com, and lebanonvoyager.com are some of the main resources that companies use to search for employees.
Thousands of companies register on online platforms annually. For instance, more than 18,000 companies are now registered with Hire Lebanese. Around 250,000 job seekers have been registered in its ten years in the market, of which 80,000 are active. According to Rabih Mogharbel, CEO at Hire Lebanese, their platform publishes around 3,500 job openings every two months. “We remove job requests every 60 days,” he said.
At jobs.com.lb, run by the publisher of Lebanon Opportunities, the variety of the announcements has contributed to its success. Around 25 percent of the vacancies posted relate to marketing and sales, 12 percent to advertising and media, 11 percent to information technology, nine percent to engineering, design and architecture, and the remainder is spread between accounting and finance, administration, graphic design, hospitality, and human resources.
Companies also rely on LinkedIn to find middle and upper management candidates.
