A guide on the implementation of Public Private Partnerships (PPP) was produced in collaboration between Fransabank, Fransa Invest Bank, and the High Council for Privatization and PPP.
The PPP Guide for Private Companies, released in June, helps companies better understand how a company can propose, bid for, and undertake to design, build, operate, manage, or invest in a PPP project.
It also details 18 potential projects, which are a part of the Capital Investment Program, subject to PPP. These projects include the expansion of Beirut Rafik Hariri International Airport, the Khalde-Nahr Ibrahim Expressway, and the National Data Centers projects.
The guide explains the PPP Law and how to establish related project companies, and answers frequently asked questions about the tendering process, according to Nabil Kassar, Chairman of Fransa Invest Bank.
The guide also explains relevant taxation, openness to Foreign Direct Investments and applicable conditions for granting incentives.
“Fransabank and Fransa Invest Bank remain at the full disposal of our country’s institutions as well as local, regional, and international companies, to assist, advise, and support their interest in pursuing key projects,” Fransabank Chairman Adnan Kassar said.
The guide is available in English and Chinese. It can be accessed on Fransabank’s website (https://www.fransabank.com/English/MediaCenter/WhatsNew/Pages/Fransabank-Group-Releases-the-Public-Private-Partnership-Report-2018-.aspx).
