Serum factory to open in Rayak

Serum and Solutions, a newly established company, will open a factory for the production of serums in Rayak at the end of 2019.

The factory is owned by Mohamad Abdallah, Chairman of Rayak Hospital.

The company has invested more than $15 million, including $2 million to buy the land. The total built-up area of the factory is 10,000 square meters (m2), built on a 31,000 m2 plot of land.

Serum and Solutions will produce and distribute prepared intravenous (IV) therapy solutions contained in soft PVC bags with multiple ports. “The factory’s production capacity can cover the whole market need for serum and with additional amounts for export markets,” said Hamad Abdallah, General Manager of the factory.

The factory will distribute its products directly to hospitals. Part of production will be exported to Arab and Gulf countries, and to Africa.

The factory will create 100 jobs.

Serum and Solutions is the third factory producing serum-related products in the country.
