EU supports justice, private sector competitiveness
The European Union contibutes $35 million to support development projects

The first donation is a four-year, $21 million financing deal that aims at the reinforcement of the private sector competitiveness. The program includes strengthening enterprise support and the upgrade of the quality management system.
The Administration Office of the Prime Ministry will lead the implementation process of the project.
The other contribution is of $14 million and has a four year term. It aims at the modernization of the Lebanese justice system by supporting implementation of the Ministry of Justice’s Information Technology Master Plan. It will also improve access to justice and provide training to judiciary staff.
The two new agreements bring the total number of agreements signed between the two parts to three at a total of $62 million.
Another $27 million contribution was allocated earlier by the European Union to support to development projects in the North.
