Ministry of Tourism warns beach resorts of manipulating admission prices

July 4, 2011- The Ministry of Tourism warned all beach resorts of manipulating the prices of admission and of food and beverage items they sell.

In a circular issued Saturday (July 2), the ministry said there were no valid economic reasons for increasing the admission fees this summer and demanded all beaches and resorts to submit a complete list of admission fees, as well as detailed price-list of food and beverages they serve.

The ministry said water bottles, soda beverages, and juices are vital refreshments at the beach and their prices should be accessible to all.
