Sagesse University will inaugurate a new building next to the main campus in Furn El Chebak. The building will include the Faculty of Engineering ‘Polytech’. The Faculty of Public Health will also be moved to this building.  Construction works were launched and are expected to be accomplished in late 2016.

The new building will stretch over a built-up area of 20,000 square meters. It has a capacity of 1,500 students. Morning and afternoon shifts will be scheduled to admit the largest possible number of students.

The cost of investment in the new campus will reach $9 million.

The Faculty of Engineering will be offering four new specializations: Computer, electromechanical, biomedical, and chemistry and nutrition engineering.

Carlo Moubarak, Quality Assurance and Projects Manager at the University, said: “The University chose these specializations because other local universities are witnessing an oversupply in engineering specializations, such as civil and architecture.”

The Faculty of Public Health offers four specializations: Nursing, medical imagery, midwife, and physiotherapy. Moubarak said: “The University is trying to obtain a license from the Ministry of Public Health to open a dispensary and offer first aid services, vaccinations, and physiotherapy treatment at affordable prices.”

Tuition fees for engineering credits are expected to start from $250 and credits for public health from $190.
