Kassatly Chtaura, manufacturer of food and beverages, recently launched BUZZ, a strong beer, with nine percent alcohol.
“We decided to produce this beer under the brand name ‘BUZZ’, like the energy drink already known in the market,” said Nayef Kassatly, General Manager of Kassatly Chtaura.
The company will produce 50,000 cases (each of 24 bottles) of BUZZ beer, per year. “Our target is to gradually increase production to 500,000 cases, annually, within five years,” said Kassatly.
Kassatly produces BUZZ at its ‘Beirut’ beer factory. The $13 million, 2,000 square meter facility opened two years ago to produce Beirut, which has 4.5 percent alcohol. The company has invested $350,000 in new machinery for the new line.
