Clemenceau Medical Center (CMC) is building a new extension facing the hospital. The center will house out-patient clinics. Mounes Kalaawi, Partner and Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are recruiting more local and international physicians, therefore we need more clinics.”

When completed in 2016, the latest of two new additions will consist of eight floors.
CMC already began construction on another building, adjacent to its premises. This center will be finalized in 2015 and will comprise ten floors, with 50 rooms. Investments in the two centers will reach up to $50 million, and will create about 150 jobs.

In addition to its current facilities, the CMC extension will include kidney management, and five extra operating rooms.

CMC plans to attract both local and regional patients said Kalawi, “Our aim is to reinstate Lebanon as a hub for healthcare.”
